A growing proportion of the American workforce wants to stay home, according to recent research. Microsoft's Remote Working Research gave national figures on how people feel about going into the office every day and found it's generally an unpopular notion.
The study found about two-thirds of employees feel they could do just as good a job, if not better, were they to work remotely, and 9 out of 10 said they wouldn't be adversely affected if given the option to do so. Happy workers make for engaged, productive teams, and employers are taking this message to heart by offering more of them the opportunity.
