Thursday, July 14 2011

Gone are the days of public meetings in city halls and court rooms. Nowadays, informational webinars are taking charge and giving thousands of people the opportunity to learn more about public projects as well as weigh in on the pressing topics.

On July 20, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will hold an informational open forum discussion on their proposed water and power rate increases, EGP News reports. Through these webinars, residential and commercial customers as well as stakeholders can learn about seven strategic investments in water and power that the Department is considering. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback on these proposals and respond to rate increases through an online survey.

Thanks in part to companies like MegaMeeting, web conferencing has given people opportunities to attend open public forums without having to leave their homes or offices. In such a busy world, it is important to stay connected with the community and provide important feedback that could impact the lives of thousands of citizens. MegaMeeting and web conferencing offers this innovative opportunity to hundreds of companies like LADWP that are looking to interact with their potential clientele.
