Nowhere is video conferencing more important than for small and medium-sized businesses.
These businesses often do not have the funding and resources available to much larger enterprises. While a trip to New Delhi may barely be a drop in the bucket for a massive multinational corporation, sending an employee around the globe can be cost-prohibitive for smaller ventures. That's why small businesses stand to profit enormously from improvements in video and web conferencing technology.
According to a survey by Wainhouse Research, three-fourths of small business owners say their use of video and web conferencing is growing rapidly. And those small businesses are satisfied - more than two-thirds of them report that the technology delivers a "high" or "very high" return in value.
The survey also found that 46 percent of small businesses agree that video conferencing is undergoing "dramatic growth" in their sector.
