Temple Grandin as keynote speaker in webinar

Friday, March 25 2011

Animal scientist and professor Temple Grandin will be speaking on a webinar about handling cattle and other livestock, according to the High Plains Journal.

Dr. Grandin is known around the world not only for her expertise on animal behavior but also as an advocate for autism. In fact, she was included in the 2010 TIME 100 as one of the world's most influential people in the Heroes category as an inspiration for parents and their children who are autistic. Now, she is using the internet as a tool to spread her knowledge on livestock.

The webinar is a joint project by the Colorado State University Extension, where Dr. Grandin teaches, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and is aimed at educating farmers on how to better use their resources and create a successful livestock business. Through this session, breeders around the world can easily gain important knowledge without leaving the comfort of their homes. All they have to do is register for free for the seminar and tune in on the 28th of March.
