The 100th anniversary of International Women's Day available on webinar

Tuesday, March 8 2011

The International Women's Day event in Toronto will be available as a webinar for everyone to take part in, according to host and manager Julia Hidy.

The event, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day, will get together empowering leaders to talk about what it's like to be a woman in today's world. Hidy understood the importance of reaching out to females around the world through web conferencing, mentioning that "[she] wanted the 100th anniversary event to be memorable and virtual so many people could access it – either during the event or after. Toronto's online event will give women who couldn't attend their own cities' events a chance to participate in another gathering."

The webinar will offer presentations from different speakers, including Dr. Annie Lim, who will be awarded the International Women's Day Award of Excellence for her work in Toronto and Singapore, raising awareness about women's issues. Entrepreneur and online marketing expert Angela Wills will also be available for the web conferencing event, speaking about women growing their own online businesses.
