Webinars offered to boost post-college employment

With the economy still struggling, college graduates are having a difficult time finding employment. In fact, the Department of Labor reports that as much as 80 percent of recent grads do not get jobs immediately after receiving a diploma. Because of this, more colleges and universities are teaming up with companies that offer webinar solutions in an effort to combat the problem.

The lectures discuss different techniques to help students land a job. According to Classes and Careers, this new generation of graduates often relies on technology to communicate and lack the skills needed when it comes to face-to-face interviews. Because of this, webinar sessions held for these students are a great way to keep them interested as they interact with different speakers to talk about their experiences as well as any tips that they may have.

Through web conferencing, these distinguished guests don't have to worry about traveling to the college or university to be heard. Guests like Dr. Mark Goulston, a psychiatrist that lectures on professional communication skills, will be able to communicate with students without having to leave the comfort of his home.
